I feel as though I don’t have the words, but it has been weighing heavily on my heart so I thought I’d share this: For 5 years of my life I was on a TV show, the group of people I worked with became my family. They loved and supported me, they accepted me and embraced me every second of every day. I’ve never felt more love in my life. They never treated me differently or made me feel like an outcast in any way. I can’t explain how truly lucky I was to have them in my life. My heart aches today, if only every human could be loved like this regardless of the way they look. It makes me beyond sick and I will never be silent regarding the matter of race. I was shown first hand how to love no matter the color of one's skin. I have absolutely no clue what it is like to walk in another’s shoes, nor can even come close to understanding, I also recognize the privilege I was born into but I can’t sit idly by during this disgusting injustice.
