I know I am only able to understand to an extent not deep enough, but I do know there has been too much hurt, too much pain, too much blood, too little progress, too little empathy - compassion - too little recognition that we are all human. Incapable of seeing the world from another’s eyes. Forgetting to consider that perspective. Letting fear lead. Allowing ourselves to be oblivious. Bathing in privilege. In turn spreading hurt, turning violent / deadly, letting it amplify, blaze and grow. this is where we are now. Just where has the love gone? Was it ever genuinely there? we all start life as tender little beings and immediately begin to soak in our environment, information, ideals, perspective of reality, opinions of those around us — our programming. It’s crucial to be a careful and positive influence on the little ones in this vulnerable stage and ourselves who still have lifetimes to learn. We may not all share the same beliefs on everything but when it comes to the most basic human rights, we need to agree that we all have the right to live and we need to agree with that from our core. As a step towards real life change, (in my opinion), it is important to remember that we all possess an amazing superpower called kindness . We are all capable of flexing this power whether it comes naturally or not. It is a choice, it is a conscious action we can take everyday. Let’s remember, the little things are the big things.
