Preferring to stay out of it, for fear of inevitably offending someone, or saying the "wrong thing", somehow... no matter what I say, or what position I take. But I can't do it anymore. We witnessed a murder of an unarmed, handcuffed black man caught on tape, at the hands of a person we're supposed to be able to trust. There's no way around that. As far as I can tell, there is no "other side of the story". Not one that justifies such an act of evil. This is horrific, heartless, senseless, and it can't go on. I am heartened to hear that the officer was just charged and taken in custody, and I hope and pray that it doesn't end there. Justice must be swift, and this man needs to serve time.
