#GoodGuys Winner for the week - Kwamena
Kwamena aka Cherisse Jackson is a freelancing farmer and chef serving the Back of the Yards community. She organizes with the Let Us Breathe Collective (@letusbreathe773) where she is helping shape their food program #EverybodyEats. Breathing Room (Let Us Breathe’s headquarters 1434 W 51 St.) and Breathing Room Gardens is where you can find Kwamena growing and cooking food to nourish the southside community. She also supports Frieda’s Place, a soup kitchen adjacent to Breathing Room. Kwamena strives to reestablish harmony between her body and the earth’s abundant ecosystems. She hopes to empower others to do the same by foraging, growing nourishment and being mindfully present in the body while in nature. Congratulations to @Kwamenaquamina !!!
