Trying to learn a new language right now? Or just trying *all the board games*? Either way, this object is for you: this Kubaot set from the 1950s was intended to help students master the Hebrew language.
An educational dice game, Kubaot is similar to Hebrew Mini Scrabble. This set consists of both an instructional page (written in Hebrew) and a cylindrical tube that holds six colored die. Each die is marked with a a Hebrew letter and a corresponding number. In the game, players take turns shaking the cylinder and throwing the die to spell as many words as possible with the Hebrew letters depicted on the die. The player who gains the most points wins the game. Through play, games like Kubaot encourage young players to both learn new vocabulary words and practice simple addition.
