I’ve had an amazing one today as you can see by that gorgeous cake that Smushy gave me for breakfast this morning! Our children are what makes Mother’s Day so special every year and I can’t express how grateful I am for my babies who help me improve as a parent hour by hour, day by day. As I try and teach them how to navigate through life, they teach me how to be a better person, they open my eyes to new ways of communicating and help me be the best person I can be not only for them, but for myself as well. It’s also our men who make us mothers and I’m so grateful to my husband for giving me the gift of my three beautiful daughters, who also helps me improve my abilities as a mother by being such an kind, patient and affectionate father. And last but definitely not least, I’m so grateful to my mother, who made me the person I am today through her wisdom, her humor and her life experience. (I gave her some homegrown garlic today as a Mother’s Day gift because i know she’s been waiting for it to grow since we planted it!)
