Although probably the most copied of our styles, it is relatively recent. We stand to be corrected, but we believe it wasn't until the 1970s that 'Ham' (George Hamilton Cox) had the inspired idea of putting the Skipton front, as seen on Alaska, onto the Bingley D ring back. Barely 50:years young, rookie.
