I had never come across it before, but it’s a very thick magazine dedicated to sharing information and sourcing of antiques. It’s mainly advertisements which are beautiful to look at, but there’s also multiple thick cardboard printed colour plates of various art and photography, which is so beautiful to see. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve had a few people ask if these items are facsimile or original - I have no reason to believe they are copies. I think you would be surprised at early printing techniques and quality! I feel lucky to be a custodian of all of my antique ephemera - if this magazine has existed for 115 years in such beautiful condition, I will do my best to maintain it for the next hundred years as well. ⁣ ⁣ It was so strange reading so many advertisements of antique shops based across london that must no longer be there.
