Make sure they’re taking their virus exposure seriously, avoiding crowds, washing hands regularly, all that good stuff. Ask if they need some food stocked or their prescriptions filled. Older folks and those with underlying conditions (hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, lung issues) are at much greater risk with the virus. Even for the young and healthy, this isn’t “just a flu”; severe cases are more common than you might think. I’m trying to keep in mind I am a link in a chain. Sure, I’m a pragmatist, no panic here, but I also do NOT want to be a disease vector that shares #covid_19 with vulnerable, higher-risk folks. And I wanna do what I can to help delay the wave of cases because we are woefully short on hospital beds, masks, and there are not even close to enough tests for those who need them.
