東大寺二月堂修二会。
通称『お水取り』
何年ぶりだろう…ここのところ観光の方がたくさんいてお参りどころじゃなかったから。

1269年、一度も途絶えることなく行われてきた行事だからこそ、この地はとても神聖な気配に覆われていました。

修行僧の足もとあかりとしてあるお松明。
人類の歴史からすると、人の命はこの火の粉の如く。
儚い。

けれど、美しい…… この上もなく。
The event of “Shunie" at Negate-do of Todaiji, Nara. The event is commonly called “Omizutori”. How long hasn’t it been with this event… because it always crowed there as tourists in recent years.The annual event keeps going sine 1269, I am feeling a sacred place around here.
The torch is lighting for Buddhist monks. Our life is like a fire, it’s short lived in all human history.
