Hello, IG friends, Hamlin’s humans here, taking over his channel for today. We have some sad news that our four legged, off-duty road cone has been sick for the past few months. Hammy has a condition called SAD, which is Spinal Arachnoid Diverticula, that results from a buildup of cerebrospinal fluid around the spinal chord. Over the past several months, it’s been increasingly difficult for him to use his hind legs. He has dropped 4lbs and has some muscle atrophy in his legs and spine. We’ve kept it pretty low profile and personal since it’s hit us pretty hard seeing him slowly lose mobility.
Classic Hammy though, as he’s still in good spirits and isn’t in any pain. He still manages to find the food droppings from his brother and sister. We’re keeping close watch over him to make sure he’s loved, comfortable, and most important, pain free. Please say a prayer for our little guy. ❤️
