Last year my PA Rich saw David Byrne on the American Utopia tour at the Shrine in Los Angeles. I dearly love Byrne, Talking Heads and had seen him live before in London, but couldn’t make it that night in LA. The next day I asked him how it was and he replied ‘It was the best concert I have ever been to.’. Well, dammit. Cut to this year and there is no way I was going to miss the show in its Broadway run. And my god, what an incredible show. Directed (again) by Mr @alextimbers, this one of a kind music concert is one of my favourite things I’ve ever seen on a stage. Just a purely ecstatic 100 minutes that I wish I could watch again and again. If you can, you must go. And yes, the icing on the cake is that I got this pic with the legend himself, one of my all time favourite musical artists, taken by the aforementioned Mr @alextimbers. All in all, not a bad way to wrap up 2019.
