I took part in Tokyo Nail Expo P1 competition. It's the Professional Category (for experienced nailists and educators) and you need to shape nails round, do Japanese cuticle care, and paint French tips with normal nail polish (not gel). The competition also takes place at other times of the year in other parts of Japan, and the regional winners also get invited to take part in the largest event of the year, the competition at the Tokyo Nail Expo. The level of competition is much higher here and there were twice as many competitors compared to my last experience in Osaka. I was humbled and honoured to be competing against so many amazing nailists 😭
