The country’s GDP shrank by 0.1% in the second quarter, marking the end of a decade of expansion.⁠

Though experts say the slowdown is not particularly new, recent developments indicate “the resilience of the domestic economy to eternal shocks is crumbling.”⁠

And they say the country is now in need of stimulus — or a recession could be on the way.⁠

Once again you have created wonderful headlines from the fiction section of our imaginations. After a decade of expansion it still is higher than previous years, so a FACTUAL / TRUTHFUL headline would be “Germany’s GDP Shrinks” is a news headline - you are crying wolf. Get your credit back. Start reporting facts. Put a real journalist in charge of CNBC’s Instagram account (if they still exist) but unfortunately I think the “Journalistic Rex” is found only in museums now... A thing of the past.

bleedingedgemusic I would not count German economic resilience out! They have over 100 different ways to say,' win at all costs' in German and zero phrases for accepting failure.
