These are dark days in American history. Tourists from abroad are being warned about travel to our country because of the escalation in gun violence. Parents are being jailed with no warning leaving children abandoned. This administration will go down in infamy for all future generations. My own family came here and stayed illegally in the 80’s. My mother was a successful, Russian movie star at the top of her game and my father was a practicing doctor. They gave it all up to exist hand to mouth in America so their child could live in freedom and have opportunities that didn’t exist in Russia. They did it for me to have a better life. I imagine any parent would do the same for their children. These raids are inhumane. This is the very definition of torture. Of cruel and unusual punishment. That this is happening right now, in this day and age is a stain on our country.

mrstowers22 Thanks for speaking out. People view “illegal” or undocumented immigration as a brown people problem when it’s an ethnic diverse phenomenon. There has to be an open dialogue about what is happening beyond American borders that force people to relocate here. Also, what is up with the whole immigration and asylum process being so friggin complex? 🤷🏻‍♀️But this child is one of many children that end up stuck in the purgatory of a broken system that banishes some to they long left behind while banishing their children into a broken child protective system intended for hurt and neglected children. Dark days indeed.

joseph_m_osuna This country is supposed to represent the complete opposite of what it currently is. All these hate crimes and the injustice being done to immigrants is just shameful. The only reason the US got to where it is, is because of immigrants from all over the world working together and making one great Nation under God. Most people are afraid of a world war iii with middle Eastern countries or Asian countries, but the real threat is already here, spreading and fast. It's called Hate, division, discrimination, racism. And it's being enabled by the president. Let's think long and hard for our next election.

john_smith7079 Its not that simple, contries use to apply their laws, when it is done in the usa: the president is to blame by democrat elites when the same laws where untouched during obama admin. Laws got a sense, if you let in unlimited number of ppl then job wages are lowered because someone else is willing to do the job for less = american working class end up paying, not democrat elites who got more people into the cinema or watching tv. Im european but here happens the same. The governments guilty are the ones in the source countries that don't care for their ppl
