I like to remind my 13 year old that being illegal isn’t the same as being wrong or being bad. Laws are created, evolved, and retracted by men to protect society, but laws have also been used too often as a weapon against groups of people under the guise of Law and Order. (for more info look up: American History).
What my cats are doing here could be considered criminally cute, but what’s the point of separating them if all they do is bring joy? #pleasehaveempathy

I keep wondering to myself how these people would react if something in their personal lives caused them to want or need to flee their homes (e.g., war on US soil, natural disaster, prolonged economic ruin), and the financial and social resources they had here to fall back on were suddenly no longer accessible or enough. 🤔🧐 Would they demurely stay put and surrender to chance?

No human is illegal because no human’s existence is criminal. “While the act of entering the country without inspection is a federal misdemeanor, and for repeat offenders could be a felony, the status of being present in the United States without a visa is not an ongoing criminal violation.”

I just finished reading Stubborn Twig. It is at the same time a book about the history of racism against Japanese immigrants and Americans of Japanese descent and a story or determination, resilience and strength.

Thank you for spreading these important messages!! And please find a way to incorporate these cats into your next show? Could they handle the loop pedals maybe?

🙌. Especially considering how difficult is is to become legal. All too often the only choice is to defer the danger as long as possible.

"Beings" aren't illegal, actions are. I bet we've all committed an illegal action at some point in our lives or maybe even everyday. ✌
