helenkilbride I thought the same when I binge watched MC on Netflix, how can these Americans have so much and so much money to spend in the shops. Then I went 100% Marie Condo and although I don't have the piles of clothes put on the beds in the show I have a lot of stuff. I've stopped buying and have recycled and it feels great. The biggest thing for me was electronic items, so I've reissued things like an old Sony Walkman and now I listen to my CDs mainly when I'm out and about but it stops me from being on my phone, use data and be more present.

fernsnfronds I realize that I fall out of routines! So I’m trying to get back into them and enjoy the products I’ve purchased ! I don’t bring home gift with purchase anymore from makeup counters because I find I don’t use the gifts. I have taken products that I don’t like to work and share them with friends and family. All have been grateful and happy to try a new product they otherwise might not have spent money on! I am very careful with how I use products from an infection control perspective just in case I don’t work for me!

mscara77 @kkoch7 i feel like we ought to be ‘building’ a culture where it’s not considered gross/frowned upon to have tidy-ups and to have our friends over and say, ‘help yourself’ ... or to have a place where you can take your unfinished products and others can have them... sharing lipsticks would be unhygienic, but other products... I reckon it would be fine. I don’t know! Some way of not buying so much all the time...
