@hypebeastsports: COOGI is calling a foul against the Brooklyn Nets, Nike and New Era over the team’s “Spread Love” City Edition alternate jerseys, a tribute to Brooklyn native Biggie Smalls. The jerseys featured a notable multicolored pattern similar to the Australian brand’s signature knitwear from the 90s.

According to the lawsuit, the NBA team copied COOGI’s trademarked patterns and claims that one of the involved parties purchased ads on the specific Google search “COOGI Brooklyn Nets” to redirect users into buying Nets merchandise. Click the link in bio for the full story.

@designedby.man it was a joke dude, called sarcasm, it’s COOGI, one of the most recognizable brands ever they’ve been well off before Biggie or The Nets
designedby.man
@mxkejones nah, just cause they are claiming their right to their intellectual property. Thats called protecting your brand.
designedby.man
@nvmerix not even. Once they openly said it was inspired by BIG that was enough to connect it directly to Coogi.
