I waited a long time for the moment that took place this weekend @arenadancecomp produced by the @kinjaz 😭 Many dance folks probably don’t know the history but for anyone that does let’s just say, there is much of it here and like myself and @lylebeniga have said before the “History Runs Deep” 🕓

Currently sick at home, my body shut down this morning from all the travels straight into @arenadancecomp but I’m glad it held on till after🙏🏽 .

If you’re reading this know that I’m about to dance nerd out real quick:
First off, this weekend I got to share the stage with my fellow brothers from the @kinjaz @brianpuspos @landowilkins @lylebeniga and long time inspiration of mine @tao_of_beatkunedo 👀 Since the days of Kaboom Squad, Mindtricks & 3muskee this guy has impacted my life even before I truly dove into hip hop culture and it’s dance OG’s. I remember car show days, I somehow got a recording of a Kaboom squad sets, me just a dude from Daly City watching these dance performances were mind blowing for a young kid. It really had a profound impact on my life, I would rewind and playback the videos to try to remember movements. I was young teen who was beginning his dance journey seeing giants, all I wanted was to be them. Gen2 was my family dance crew and our garage would be our laboratory to figure things out. It was like a quest to for me to find how to get to that level, to show them and our dance peers that we exist and we hope that you see us! Crazy how an art form can help drive ones communication. Where words weren’t enough, movement became my weapon of choice. There is much more to this story but I guess without getting too lengthy, I’m just thankful for last night. Wow...I’m genuinely bursting at the heart seams, my inner dance kid is still in disbelief. Thank you to the @kinjaz 💛 damn, what did I do to deserve such good friends🙇🏻‍♂️🙏🏽 I really do feel lucky to be around your brotherhood. Lastly, I hope I have and will continue to make positive ripples and waves through this dance community, it’s because of people who came before me that I am who I am, I will always honor that. For those of you watching the horizon, you can see the future is bright!!

fabezuh The nostalgia of this weekend was CRAZY for me. Seeing all you guys on the community stage, especially Kevin, took me back to when Cookies started. Such a great and full circle last show for me, in so many ways!
