You don’t have to venture far from the airport to experience one of Hong Kong’s most iconic destinations. Ngong Ping, home to the famed Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery, can be a perfect way to spend a long layover. You can get there by taxi or bus, but the most scenic route is by cable car, located outside Tung Chung MTR.
#香港國際機場 雖然位處遠離市區的 #大嶼山,但附近其實亦有不少著名景點,座落於 #昂坪 的 #天壇大佛 就絕對值得一遊!

I always visit Ngong Ping when in Hong Kong. Hopefully next time I can fly with @cathaypacific from Dublin as last time I took a different airline and had to get to London first and it was very obvious that Cathay are miles above the rest in regards to level of service.

When I book my flights with Cathay Pacific I'm immediately thinking how happy I'll be when I get off. It's about the destination not the journey.

@cathaypacific , you forgot that you can hike up to Ngong Ping from Tung Chung. Very nice trail! Or walk down from Ngong Ping....

@holly_keys yeah, @wheres_franky needs to realign those chakras. Visiting Big Buds is the only way.

We have a long layover in Hong Kong in January. Is there somewhere to store our luggage?
