Police in China are secretly installing spy apps on phones of visitors to the country that can extract emails, texts and address contacts, according to a cross-media investigation.
Evidence gathered by the New York Times, The Guardian in England and Suddeutsche Zeiting in Germany has claimed that travelers are being targeted when they enter the country’s Irkeshtam border crossing with Kyrgystan.
Border guards are seizing tourist phones and, without asking permission, installing surveillance software on the devices.

@guddhaworld those are different crimes than jaywalking and other petty offenses leading to low scores reducing freedom. In China there is no freedom of speech. I can say I hate trump all day long and be perfectly fine whereas if I were a Chinese talking protesting xi I could go to prison for simply speaking my mind about his dictatorship. it’s about the horrors of government surveillance not people’s personal finance and crimes that actually deserve punishment.

@chouchou_loulou_coucou who cares it’s the fact that the Chinese government a communist dictatorship regime actively maintains a social credit score on their citizens and people with low scores can’t go on domestic air travel. Do you want to live in a world where you have no freedom and you are held at the whim of a technologically advanced dictatorship??? And don’t give me bs that the us gov does that I can do whatever I want here and still go anywhere I please!

I’m glad I did because it changed my Life and I made my second withdrawal of $28k. @Rodney_finklea is a trusted and genuine trader and I can vouch for him so get in touch and share your testimonies

@johnwjourneys yes that wasn’t China at its best I agree. It’s been 30years. I think you should judge to see if the country has made progress since then or if it has stagnated. Europe and US is full of human right atrocities as well, we need to progress and move forward

@goochipucci if you have a bad credit score you can’t get a loan, if you have a criminal record you can’t get a job, if you’ve been flagged by border security you can’t travel. What’s the difference between different separate restrictions and a unified one?

@goochipucci I just moved back to China. After living abroad for 16 years, I want to go back to the land of opportunities. By the way, judging by performance, Mr. Xi can be my leader for as long as he wishes. Bet you cannot say the same for your leader.
