Been spending some time the last couple weeks exploring around our new second home state of Rhode Island. The other day we stopped by the town of Barrington to see Joshua Prince ( @princeworksforge ). Joshua is a blacksmith/bladesmith. Besides being an amazing artist and craftsman. He is also very humble. His shop is a One car garage with most of his tools homemade by him. The quality of the blades he makes is second to none. It really shows that you don’t need a big huge fancy shop to do quality work. You just need some heart and the drive to do whatever it takes to make it happen. I really enjoyed spending some time with Joshua and his wife. Looking forward to hanging again soon. Hell I dig his work so much I even bought an Awesome Damascus cleaver/chopper from him. All I managed to get out was and I quote “ Holly shit , I’m a big fan “ Thank you for shaking the hand of a crazy guy running up to you today . It was a great moment for me . I didn’t want to bother you for a picture because you were obviously having some down time ( even though I regret not asking ). I just wanted to say it was great to meet you . You really don’t need a fancy shop to engrave craftsmanship into your trade/hobby. That’s a statement that should be brought to light to inspire the youth who may not have much to work with in their beginning years

My uncle lives in Barrington , go to Rhode Island every year for the 4th of July celebration in Bristol .....love visiting that area ....
