boxedwater @danapetrova_1 We totally agree that reusable bottles are the best option for our earth! Our cardboard cartons are made from trees which is a renewable source, unlike the plastic alternatives which are made from crude oil. We source our trees from well managed forests that constantly replant trees and we have planted 800,000 trees and counting with the #BetterPlanet. The plastic lining helps maintain the integrity of our box, similar to a milk carton or juice box. We use significantly less plastic than the single use plastic alternatives, so we believe our packaging is the better option for when you don’t have access to your reusable bottle ?

Our box is the most sustainable packaging we could find on the market that is also able to be resealed. 74% of our box is made from biodegradable and compostable paperboard which is a huge step forward compared to the plastic alternatives. We've considered non-plastic spouts, but they often require more water to produce and make the carton harder to recycle as many recycling facilities don't accept the alternative material. But we’re always looking for new ways to improve our packaging! ☺️

danapetrova_1 Isnt the box cardboard (from trees) what happens to save the trees. But isnt the inside covered with a plastic lining inside so it wont leek. I would rather use a reusable water bottle or a metal straw :) just a thought
