Like many Impressionist painters, Pissarro developed problems with his eyesight. He was forced to work indoors and to seek regular medical treatment in #Paris. During his stay, he became captivated with this view of the city. He painted the same scene fifteen times over the course of that winter, looking at it at different times of day and in different weather conditions. See this version in "The #ImpressionistsEye."
