The traveling exhibition, "Sally Mann: A Thousand Crossings," opens on June 18, at Jeu de Paume, in Paris.
For more than forty years Sally Mann has made experimental, elegiac, and hauntingly beautiful photographs that span a broad body of work, including figure studies, still lifes, and landscapes. This show, with more than a hundred photographs, many of which have never been exhibited, explores how her relationship with the American South has shaped her work.
