Saying goodbye to Mongolia. I doubt I’ll ever return to Mongolia but I feel so lucky I went because I really can’t think of a comparable country. Mongolia has the lowest population density in the world. Sheep outnumber humans in Mongolia 35 to 1. There are 13 times more horses living in Mongolia than people. Under Ghengis Khan The Mongol empire was the largest land empire in history occupying 22% of the world. Mongolians still idolise Kahn to this day. A quarter of the population still live as nomads. The climate is harsh. The average temperature in the capital city is -1 degrees C. Mongolians also invented ice cream (by accident) and mostly eat meat and dairy. Next stop South Korea 🇰🇷.
