@malikpojk The fact that you think the definition of Arab culture is only deserts and camels shows your obvious ignorance and racism towards Arabs. The world would be nothing without the Arab and Islamic empires. Arabs and Muslims have contributed greatly to Science, Math, Art, Medicine, Education, cuisines, many languages derive from the Arabic language such as English and Spanish. When Islam reached India and Persia through the Arabs, these countries flourished. We've influenced many parts of the world such as Turkey, parts of Africa and Southern Europe such as Spain and Sicily. The Arabic language is a universal language. It is the language of the Quran, poetry, it is the language of Islam and education. Arabic is the language of the 1001 and 1 night book which Disney took the idea for the movie Aladdin. And all the stories in the book were written in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age. The story Aladdin was an old Arab folktale stolen and adapted by a European author. It is the likes of you that is desperate to steal an Arab story and make it into an Indian one. Fyi the name Jasmine is an Arabic name and Princess Jasmine's character was based on the Arab princess Badar Al Badour. Disney just changed the name and besides that, they clearly stated that Princess Jasmine was the first Arab Disney princess in the 1992 film. The fictional town Agrabah was based on the city Bagdad. They just changed it because of the Gulf war at that time. The movie, the theme and names are all Arabic. The word Rajaa means " please" in Arabic. All masajid or mosques resemble the Taj Mahal in one way or another. The freaking movie is about Arabian Nights. What more proof do you need? The original story was set during Islam. Aladdin has absolutely nothing to do with Indians and Hindus. Stop stealing embarrasing yourself by stealing our Arab narrative and stick to Mowgli and Bollywood. Arabs are beautiful and we are diverse in our feautures. We come in all shades, white, fair, tan, olive-skinned, brown, dark depending on the Arab country. Arab women are beautiful and are known for their almond shaped kohl eyes. I'm sure Indians are beautiful as well but you know damn well that the

@tanya_az_ Excuse me? Stolen from you? How dare you even claim such a thing? ? Princess Jasmine never even represented Arabian culture to begin with! She's basically representing every single national symbols of India! She has a bengal tiger named Rajah ?, Rajah means "King" in hindi, also the bengal tiger is India's NATIONAL animal! She is a peacock princess and NOT a camel princess ?? she represents the peacock? Peacock is India's NATIONAL bird! She also represent Lotus flower, the national flower of India! And not to mention she lives in Agrabah in a palace that looks just like Taj Mahal. Agrabah was named after the Indian city AGRA where Taj Mahal is located! Everything about princess Jasmine was Indian influenced! How dare you even think an arab girl should represent an Indian beuaty and all the Indian national symbols? Would you like it if an Indian girl claimed right for famous Arabian national symbols? Even tho India has deserts and camels as well in the Indian city "jaisalmer rajasthan". What if a white girl represented arab symbols such as Camels, deserts, pyramids and arabian eagle's? ?? and called it white culture, would that be okay for you? If no, then why desperatly claim the national symbols of India that princess Jasmine has always represented in the animation? You are desperate for arab representation, so desperate that you even want to claim the national symbols of India that Jasmine has always represented! Without the Indian influences, Jasmine would not be the princess we know and love, in fact she would be nothing but a persian name... THANK GOD an Indian beauty like Naomi Scott is representing an accurate Jasmine that reflects the reality of her culture!

@tanya_az_ @tanya_az_ The only one who is embarassing here is YOU! I honestly can't stop laughing at how DESPERATE you are! ? it's not a secret that Aladdin has major indian influences. You can't school Disney! They made the animation and this live action the way they did for a reason! This is their adaption and they are the original source! If Aladdin and Jasmine is so "arabic" to you, how come NOTHING of their fictional culture or looks is accurate and represented in real arab culture today? A beautiful culture like Aladdin's does not just vanish out of nowhere! In fact their culture is more accurate to indian culture! Disney's Aladdin was made by white ignorant people! And sadly for you the white creators did not know the difference between arab and Indian culture! If they wanted to make this movie accurate, they should have cast chinese actors, since the oeiginal characters in the story was of Chinese! You can claim that Jasmine is arab the day she represent an accurate arab girl! The day she looks and is dressed like an arab girl, the day she has a pet camel instead of a bengal tiger, an arabian eagle instead of peacocks, and a desert cactus instead of lotus flowers! Also if Jasmine where muslim she would be modest, wearing a hijab! It's honestly really sad how you wanna steal and claim the obvious indian aspects and culture of this movie! Just because Disney made a mistake by using Indian culture, does not mean you arabs have the rights to desperatly claim the obvious indian culture! It's embarassing asf! ? please learn to respect and love your real arab culture! ❤️

@tanya_az_ Sweety don't be a hypocrite! ? Funny how you say that arabs comes in all shades while according to you most indians looks like Mindy Kaling. While Indian people are known for their different shades of skin tones, arabs are known for being pale! I have never seen a dark skinned arab in my life or in media, the majority of arab people are pale as snow! Just like white people! Indians comes in all shades, and it's a fact and can be seen in reality. Sadly Bollywood like fair skin and only want light skinned indian beautys in their film industry, but that does not mean they are less indian because they are light skinned. In fact there was only INDIAN woman considered to play princess Jasmine! It was between Two Indian beuaty's, Indian Bollywood actress @tarasutaria and Indian beauty @naomigscott. Disney choose Naomi Scott because of her talent and beauty! Like I said before, no Arab woman was even considered to play Jasmine and let's be honest, it would look hella stupid if an arab girl represented all of the famous NATIONAL symbols of India, that princess Jasmine represented! ?? cultural appropriation asf! And let's be real, arab beuatys are known for being pale, strong hard facial features and tattooed eyebrows.. not a classic beauty like Jasmine.... ??????

@malikpojk @Guy Ritchie Yes, thank you to the White man for robbing us Arabs out of our representation by changing our narraritive by not only White washing it but Indian washing it as well and changing our story into a Bollywood one for $$. Hiring only 2 token Arab actors for an entire movie which was supposed to be about Arabs was a slap in the face. They are so happy that Aladdin ( a movie that's supposed to be about Arabs) has a diverse cast just as long as there's no Arab actors and actresses in it. Aladdin is an old Arab folktale stolen by a European author. Thank you to the White director and Racist Hollywood who gave the role of Princess Jasmine, an Arab princess to a half White, Half Indian actress. This was our time and again it was stolen from us. Where is our Arab female representation? Aladdin is about Arabs and Arabian nights, not Indians and Indian nights. To the Indian community, we have nothing against your culture but it's time you support us by respecting our Arab culture and knowing your place. These non Arab writers, non Arab actors, non Arab producers and director have changed the script and our Arab narrative and are making money off of our culture and distorted our image at the same time.

@tanya_az_ Actually the orginal tale of "Aladdin" was added to the collection in the 18th century by the Frenchman Antoine Galland, who attributed the tale to a Syrian storyteller, Youhenna Diab. Aladdin only appeared in the collection when it was translated into French by Antoine Galland in the 18th century.
In the origan tale, Aladdin was set in a muslim part of China! NOT MIDDLE EAST! In Disney's 1992 version of Aladdin The setting is moved from China to the fictional city of Agrabah influenced by indian culture and the structure of the plot is simplified. They even changed the characters names! Considering the setting has so much Indian influence within its Islamic theme, it really seems that it can't be anywhere except the Indian subcontinent. It most closely resembles a setting of the Mughal Empire! Why do you struggle so much to find proof when you can just look up real arabian culture as proof? ? real arabian culture looks NOTHING like Aladdin's! Please learn to love your real ACCURATE arab culture!
