Bus depot construction begins! Visitors to the museum will not fail to notice a large fence has appeared adjacent to the tram depot - this is the new bus depot, part of the #RemakingBeamish project. It is a 1930s style building, and will house up to eight buses in a publicly accessible depot space, and also house a dedicated historic vehicle maintenance workshop complete with a service pit and car lift.

The Reece Foundation and @gonortheast have generously supported the bus depot build. Thanks to the money raised by National Lottery players, the Remaking Beamish project has been awarded £10.9million by the @heritagefunduk #bus #busdepot #transport #1950s
