今回の改装で「香桃」はその名前の由来である『桃源郷』のイメージを取り入れました。

中国では桃の木の周りに人が集い宴を催した詩が多く残されており、また桃の木は幸運の象徴として親しまれています。

桃の木が描かれた陶器や、桃の色のイメージを持った陶器を砕き、その破片を一つずつ組み合わせ、約11,000個のパーツから成る大きな壁アートは、その宴を彩る桃の木を表現しています。まるで満開の桃の花に包まれたような空間で香桃ならではのお食事をご提供いたします。

The name “Xiang Tao” originated from the Chinese Peach Utopia, which is reflected throughout the fully-renovated restaurant.
In historical Chinese poems, it is often described that people used to gather around the peach trees to wine and dine, and the peach tree was considered as a lucky tree with spiritual powers.
One of the significant features of the new interior is a 6m long ceramic wall made uniquely out of individual ceramic pieces (approx. 11,000 pcs from 200 vases) combined into one stunning mosaic art piece which forms from a distance a peach tree in full blossom.
