Superstition Mountains, Arizona⁣

When I started the day, doubt and resistance set up shop in my dome and started the familiar refrain… “don’t bother, it’s raining, it’s snowing, you haven’t shot anything in 3 days, why would today be any different”… on and on.

Same ol b.s.

I’ve let that internal chatter stop me before, but I’m better able now to swim move around it by leveraging the counter emotions of regret and the sinking feeling of missed opportunity.⁣ In the end, we drove, and drove and stuck it out managing to get what we could which wasn’t much. But at the tail end of the day caught the blue sky. Yeah I never got the “light” I was looking for but I don’t have regret.

I love going to far away places, places I know I’ll never return to and stand on again. Super powerful feeling and keeps you in the moment when you’re out there.

Free to roam. Far from home.
