The starting point for the mainline collection evolved from the photograph ‘Poolside Gossip’. Taken in the summer of 1970 in Palm Springs, California, the scene is an al fresco drinks party in the garden of a modernist Richard Neutra house, a backdrop of rugged mountains in the distant horizon.
