A little Bluesday inspiration from #BKMDecarts: In 1893, Louis Comfort Tiffany opened a glassworks in Corona, Queens and began working with the English glassworker Arthur Nash to develop new techniques and formulas. Inspired by the iridescent surface found on ancient Roman glass, they created Favrile glass, a new material made by blending different colors of molten glass together with metallic oxides. The lustrous surface of Favrile glass was an immediate success and remains one of the most iconic products of Tiffany Studios. ? #infinitebluebkm⠀
