Villa Urrugne.
A pretty Art Deco villa located in a small town in the French side of the Basque Country. Originally made in the early 20’s for Jean Puifocat who was a French Art Deco silversmith. This house was abandoned for many years, it’s located in a very secluded area, in a lost trail that feels like a secret place with so much beautiful nature, with goats and taureaux? and a long path with blackberries that you can pick and eat while you’re on your adventure.
The architect is Luis Esteves who was the brother of the second wife of Puifocats.
It’s modest lines and the mix of stone, glass and steel make it truly original, but what makes this villa really unique is the volume of light settles that through the 22 feet hight window in the atelier room.
