Ford's new Ranger pickup is finally here. The truck is packed with plenty of features, including a 10-speed transmission and towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. But is it too late for the new Ranger to make a splash?

Ford finds itself in a strange position with this truck: playing catch up. While the company has lead the full-size pickup market for more than 40 years, it largely ignored the midsize truck market for the last 8 years. Meanwhile, Toyota and General Motors have been racking up strong sales.
