This morning I visited George Nakashima Memorial Gallery directly from Takamatsu Airport.
George NAKASHIMA, is a master craftsman who loved trees, nature and his family.
You can learn through his works about his philosophy and way of thinking about craftsmanship.
Also we discussed about the preservation and public opening of Nagare Studio, where world-renowned sculptor, Masayuki Nagare, had been producing artwork since the late 1960s. Again, I grieve over his death because he’s been my mentor all the time. #平井卓也 #takuyahirai #nagarestudio #georgenakashima
