Join us for "The History of Dior Hats with Milliner to the stars, Stephen Jones" at the Denver Art Museum tonight from 6-7pm. Stephen Jones (@スティーブンジョーンズ) burst on to the London fashion scene during its explosion of street style in the late seventies. By 1980, he had opened his first millinery salon in the heart of London's Covent Garden, serving a range of important clientele, from Boy George to Diana, Princess of Wales.

Jones first worked with the House of Dior in 1996, and his history with Dior will be explored in this lecture. Today, Jones era-defining edge continues to attract a celebrity clientele, which includes Rihanna, Katy Perry, Mick Jagger, and the Royal Family.

The lecture will be followed by a conversation with Florence Müller, Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and Fashion at the DAM and curator of "Dior: From Paris to the World," who published one of the first books on the history of milliners in 1993.
