After much popular demand and a few logistical changes, the princesses at @medieval_times took the thrones as queens at the end of 2017. “It’s been so wonderful,” says @monetlerner (pictured above). “I love kids in general, but what’s interesting is—well, you know we talk about the young princesses and how they are always just so excited. But to see the young knights excited about a queen is really, really neat. We do matinees here, and one time, after the show, I was signing autographs, and this one little boy came up to me and gave me a flower, and he bowed to me and said, ‘My queen, forever!’ And I was just like, Oh, my gosh! Because sometimes, boys can be a little shy around a queen at first. They say, ‘Where’s the king?’ The third show I ever did as queen, they we saying, ‘We want the king, Mom!’ But then you just tell them, ‘Yes, my young knight, we’re very excited to have you here this evening.’ You know, just pump ’em up. Then they’re like, ‘Oh, she’s really cool.
