Reiko Lewisさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Reiko LewisInstagram)「私個人の人生の指針でもあり、会社の基本理念でもある、「和敬清寂」を更に勉強させていただく夏の講習会が表千家同門会によって開かれました。一日中の講習が３日間続きます。京都本部より菅田浩行家元教授がお見えになり講習をなさいました。京都事務局からも渦岡氏、山本氏がお見えになり、色々なところで支えてくださいました。講義の合間には、ライオンズクラブで招待された、海外約２０か国から２０数名の１０代の学生さん達とライオンズクラブの役員の方への簡単なお茶の説明とデモンストレーションが行われ、続いてお茶がそれぞれに振る舞われました。お点前の技術向上のためのお稽古はもとよりですが、自分自身を見つめ直し、また振り返る素晴らしい機会をいただきました。京都からお見えになった家元教授菅田宗匠、渦岡氏、山本氏にお礼を申し上げると共に、一緒に準備のために多くの時間を割いてしてくださり、共に稽古に参加して下さった表千家同門会の皆様すべてに感謝いたします。インテリアデザイナーとしても、また学ぶことの多い講習だったと思います。 . “Wa-Kei-Se-Jyaku" is my personal philosophy and also my company's philosophy and I had an opportunity to learn it over last weekend. Omotesenke Domonkai Hawaii hosted a three day session of Tea Ceremony classes. It was a three day lecture course and Hiroyuki Sugata Iemoto Kyoju from Kyoto came and gave us lessons. And Mr Uzuoka and Mr Yamamoto also came from Kyoto administrative office to support us in various field. Between lessons, we had a special session for Lion's Club event: over 20 students from over 20 countries with Lions' club instructor joined us for brief explanation and demonstration session and each one of them had a taste of sweet and a bowl of Match tea. Of course, technical lessons how to make tea is important but more important subject matter is an opportunity how to view yourself internally. I want to thank Sugata Sosho, Mr Uzuoka and Mr Yamamoto from Kyoto for valuable lectures. And many special thanks to the Omotesenke Domonkai colleges who sacrificed their private hours to prepare the sessions with me and also share the lecture time together. I also learned many valuable things as an interior designer throughout the lessons.
