I always feel very self conscious about saying I am part #native or that part of my ingredients are native blood. When I read this it made me feel ok about how much or how little but by some of the comments either you are full blooded or you are out. Safe to say I'm not native enough to claim matter or count #itiswhatitis #dna but thanks so much to @native_things for posting ???✊? super awesome account for honesty about our terrible brutal American history. #HUMANRIGHTS #bloodquantum

Blood quantum laws is legislation which began in the British Colonies to define membership in Native American tribes. To base Natives on blood alone is another way to be divided. To believe this, You are being fooled by the people youre fighting against. Lose your preconceived notions of what Natives should look like, rather look at their actions and pride. Forget your blood and skin....Is your heart 100% Native?
Full blood, mixed blood, 1/16, or 1/25 why do we fight against ourselves?
If you have Native blood in you and if you respect and honor our culture and ancestors... You are my brother/sister... Because I've seen full blood natives take their people for granted...
