#ThruHikeThursday with 2018 @thruhikesyndicate Ambassador @saraanna_, who is making her way north along the #PacificCrestTrail.
#ThruHikers battle difficult trail conditions and are also constantly faced with reevaluating why they are out on the trail, some for months at a time, while trying to stay motivated and in good spirits.
As Sara recently wrote, this can be challenging: “I still don’t have a black and white reason for why I’m out here. Maybe that’s what’s eating at me; I’ve always been someone who craves clearcut answers. This thru hiking thing…seems to be the exact opposite of a clear cut answer. Things change and are completely out of my control most days. Maybe that’s why I’m here, to work on letting go of control and be ok with no answer at all.”
