We’ve been playing around with @agavesurf on developing high performance shooters, built from 100% #Agave cores. Bold and beautiful, but not nearly as dense as “woods”, like Balsa. Evidently Agave is not actually a wood, but more in the Asparagus family of vegetables. Over the years, many Shapers have dabbled in Agave, most notably, #GaryLinden, built a bunch for his big wave exploits. Anyways, the cores are close enough in weight to a standard blank that they don’t require chambering to net a rideable weight...if glassed lightly. The flex seems fine, so far, and they are obviously dent resistant. These were laminated in Epoxy resin, and were shaped for @ココ・ホウ and @griffin_cola to ride in solid surf, soon. We were hoping for J-Bay, but may have missed the boat...Hossegor could be good though. I also have a board of my own in the works! - @mayhemb3_mattbiolos #Lostsurfboards
