Through her photographs, #CassBird asserts the positive existence of genderqueer people who define their gender and sexuality for themselves. In this photograph, taken on a rooftop in Brooklyn, Bird’s friend Macaulay stares out from under a cap emblazoned with the words “I Look Just Like My Daddy.” Macaulay’s gender is ambiguous.
