Ayame means iris in Japanese so you can image how much I love this flower. I rarely see it growing in the wild, so I couldn't contain my excitement when I actually found a patch of iris in Provence. Seeing these in bloom really made me feel like spring (and pretty much summer just around the corner) is in full swing now!
