10年前、一次政権の時にスタートした、パレスチナの大地に平和と繁栄の回廊をつくる試みは、今、たくさんの地場産業と雇用を生み出しつつあります。日本、ヨルダン、イスラエル、パレスチナの四者が手を携え、かつての荒れ地は、パレスチナの人々に経済的な自立と未来への自信を生み出し、立場の違いを超えて相互の信頼を育む場所へと、生まれ変わりました。日本は、これからも中東和平のために、日本ならではのやり方で大きな役割を果たしていく決意です。

The attempt to create a “Corridor for Peace and Prosperity” on Palestinian land, launched a decade ago during my first administration, now stands poised to generate a large number of local industries and employment. Through four parties -- Japan, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine -- joining hands, formerly barren land has been reborn as a place that creates among Palestinians economic self-reliance and confidence in the future while fostering mutual trust that transcends differences in position. Japan is determined to continue to play a significant role in fostering peace in the Middle East, using approaches unique to Japan.
