This is what I will never understand about the fashion industry - this shoot is amazing and I love it - #GASOLINEGLAMOUR was pulled for this shoot. I was not paid. They are also the #BLUEBIN assassins. I was emailed 3 times in 1 night just to get the shoot rolling, then comes the begging please come to my showroom I know it's further away than you would like but I promise you won't be disappointed and I have free lemons. #pathetic they insist you deliver or ship to their hotel (I'm broke sorry) then I got the LOR confirmed 1st person didn't respond till 3 days later luckily I had the editors email they confirmed right away. The original treatment was super glam rhinestone country + dirty prom queen a la #hole and 1 clean look but mostly sparkly and pageant. Needless to say after smoking my pride and tons of back and forth an asst showed up an hour later packing plus 30 pieces out the door fingers crossed. A different asst arrived unannounced 3 or 4 days later broke bin missing coat bag no big deal. When I got to unpacking I noticed most ITEMS had not been unpacked at all and stayed packed. Come to find out the shoot changed direction on set after all of that the word "unfortunately" happens. Oh Shannon it was crazy and LITERALLY everything changed on set and nothing was shot. "They" decided to shoot no makeup super clean and stripped down. My only question is - do you really think ENTIRE shoots would change direction if they actually A. Had to pay everyone B. Had to pay everyone a proper reimbursement for time & supplies & travel & damages and don't forget the #bullshit tax. THE ANSWER IS NO.
