「循環する流氷のように生まれ変わるガラス」を作る、北海道の流氷硝子館。年間に廃棄される使用済み蛍光管は8000トンあまり。流氷硝子館の消費量は年間10トンほどですが、製品が人々の日常に入り込むことで少しでも廃棄ガラスのアップサイクルが拡がることを願って作品を作り続けています。TRUNK(HOTEL)はこの取り組みに共感し、TRUNK(HOTEL)オリジナルのグラスを作成しました。

TRUNK(HOTEL) Glass
Ryuhyo Glass Museum of Hokkaido Prefecture, which creates “a glass that is reborn like a circulating drift ice”. 8000 tons of used fluorescent lightbulb tubes are discarded annually, 10 tons of which is recycled by the Ryuhyo Glass Museum, but the Museum continues to produce items in hopes that people will incorporate the upcycled glass waste into their daily lives and that the movement for upcycling will expand. TRUNK(HOTEL) supports this effort and created these TRUNK(HOTEL) original glasses.
