Valentine’s Day is just next week, why not try your hand in making these super adorbs and healthy Hedgehog rolled oat cookies?
I used @Sanitarium.sg Rolled Oats and Weet-Bix to make these wholesome whole grain treats. Whole grain food provides essential vitamins and good sources of fibre, making you feel full and less likely to snack. Sanitarium Oats and Weet-Bix are available at all major supermarkets.
Recipe:
50g Sanitarium Rolled Oats
30g Sanitarium Weet-Bix (approx 2 bars)
65g plain or cake flour
1tbsp maple syrup
50g soften butter, unsalted
40g fine sugar or fine brown sugar
approx 12 pcs of small chocolate chips
For decoration:
Melted dark chocolate and white chocolate.
Method
1. In a bowl, cream soften butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add in maple syrup and mix well.
3. Then add in Sanitarium Rolled Oats, Sanitarium Weet-Bix, and flour. Mix well until the cookie mixture comes together.
4. Divide the mixture approx into 11-12 portions. You can use a cute cutter like my hedgehog ones. Press the cookie mixture into the floured cutter, transfer the cookie on the baking tray lined with baking paper. Position the chocolate chips for hedgehog's nose. Repeat for the remaining mixture.
5. Set the cookies in the chiller for about 15mins. During this time, you can preheat the oven.
6. Bake cookies at 180C for about 13-15mins, top & bottom heat with fan; or until nicely brown.
7. Decorate cookies with melted chocolate to complete the details.
