Today's post is in honour of the Post Punk legend from our hometown of Manchester, Mark E. Smith. The mercurial icon is known as the frontman of The Fall- and one of the most influential musicians from the North of England. Sadly he passed away yesterday.⠀

John Peel loved The Fall, and they were one of the longest lasting and prolific bands of both Punk and Post Punk.⠀
Distinct for his dark lyrics and distressing drawl, he made over 32 albums across the decades- and most notoriously hired and fired over 60 band members. Falling in and out of favour with his friends and known for his bar brawls and alcoholism- Mark will always be remember for being straight, undiluted Punk, wherever he was. We'll always be thankful for the music and attitude he brought.⠀
