本日はPORTER OMOTESANDOにて展開しているコラボレーションアイテムより、「Tom Kuhn × PORTER CUSTOM EDITION “BLACK CAT”」をご紹介いたします。1976年に歯医者兼ヨーヨー・デザイナーであるTom Kuhn（トム・クーン）氏によって創業されたサンフランシスコ発のブランド「Tom Kuhn」。プラスチック製のヨーヨーが主流だった1970年代当時、Kuhn氏が自身の幼少期にあった木製ヨーヨーを懐かしく感じ生み出した「No Jive Yo-Yo」の発売を機に、世界中に広く知れ渡るようになりました。このアイテムは、2017年発売の「BLACK CAT SPECIAL EDITION」をベースに「PORTER YOSHIDA」の刻印を入れ、更にシリアルナンバーが入ったスペシャルモデルです。本体にはチャコールブラックのマット加工が施されており、緻密なレーザー刻印によって縁に施された格子柄がデザインアクセントとなっています。実際にお使いいただくのはもちろん、コレクションアイテムとしても人気です。是非店頭でご覧ください。

Today we would like to introduce the Tom Kuhn × PORTER CUSTOM EDITION "BLACK CAT" which we now carry at PORTER OMOTESANDO.
"Tom Kuhn" is a brand from San Francisco established in 1976 by Mr. Tom Kuhn who is dentist and a yo-yo designer. During the 1970's when plastic yo-yo's were the main stream he had remembered the wooden yo-yo's he had during his childhood and created the "No Jive Yo-Yo", which made his brand noticed worldwide.
This item is a special model with a "PORTER YOSHIDA" engraving and a serial number based on Tom Kuhn's "BLACK CAT SPECIAL EDITION" released in 2017. With its matte black body, the plaid pattern achieved by delicate laser pattern is the design accent. You could of course enjoy playing with it, or also include it in your collection as well.
