In 1903, Edmond Jaeger challenged Jacques-David LeCoultre, grandson of Antoine LeCoultre, to develop ultra-thin watches. The latter took up the technical challenge and threw himself fully into the mission. This collaboration led to an indefectible friendship and, above all, to the creation of the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand in 1937.
